Frequently Asked Questions

Below you will find answers to the most common questions about Eternity and our products. Of course, if you do not find what you need here, please reach out to us from our contact page and we will be glad to help you.

Buying and Shipping

Yes! All of our orders are shipped out in a plain brown box (or padded envelope) with no company logo in site. The return address used on the shipping label reads "shipping services" to help keep the contents private.

International orders will have some form of product description on the shipping label since it is required by Customs Import Regulations.

You do not need to create an account before ordering.

Once you place an order, we create a temporary account for you so you can keep track of your history, which only you can activate by first signing in and setting a password.

Accessing your account is optional and is not necessary to order, exchange or conduct business with us, and is provided as a convenience.

For the best experience, however, we do recommend creating an account.

Our main office and fulfillment center are located in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Sorry, not at this time. We currently offer our products exclusively through our online store.

Absolutely. International shipments take between 5 - 14 days, depending on shipping choice and destination.

Depending on the shipping destination, we do our best to collect import duties at the time of purchase.

If we do not collect fees and taxes up front there may be duties and fees due at the time of delivery.

Yes, we do and at no cost for basic shipping.

You also have faster shipping options by USPS for an additional fee.

Materials Used

Our Titanium items are 100% hypoallergenic, allergy-free, and will not react to sunlight, saltwater, sweat, or body oils.

We do offer a flexible 90-day return policy, so if you find one of our products is uncomfortable or irritates your skin, you can return it for a full refund.

Yes, every locking item comes with a hex screwdriver and extra screws.

We also offer replacement key sets that come with two Allen keys and four extra screws if you want an extra set, as well as extra screwdrivers and a master key if you need a little something more.

It depends on size and style, but our our titanium Eternity Collars weigh around 3 to 4 ounces.

Our collars, cuffs and anklets are made in both a 8mm (.3125 inches) or 5mm (.19685 inches) thickness.

Available thicknesses will vary between types, styles, or sizes.

We use a medical-grade Titanium Nitride on most of our items, although we may also use Zirconium Carbon Nitride.

Both finishes are very durable and bio compatible while maintaining excellent color.

We have coated our gold finish in pure 18K gold in the past but found the finish did not hold up with daily or prolonged wear.

All of our titanium items are made from Grade 5 Titanium which has an excellent combination of strength, corrosion resistance, and biocompatibility.

In addition to titanium, this grade is also comprised of 6% aluminum, 4% vanadium, and up to 0.25% iron.

Our stainless steel chains and some of the fasteners we use (like the screws in the collars) are made using a cold forming, or cold working, process.

We use an austenitic stainless steel (grade 316) in our products, which is generally a non-magnetic material in it's normal annealed (slow cooled) state.

However, once this metal is cold worked (cold forming is the process of bending and shaping the stainless steel to form the links or base of the screws), the stress and extreme pressure of this process may cause the stainless steel to develop a response to a magnet even though the fundamental make-up of the stainless steel has not changed.

Engraving

Yes. We can engrave any symbol or artwork you want from any black and white artwork you provide, for products with engraving as an option.

You can add your artwork directly to your order.

However, we recommend using good-quality artwork. We will engrave what you send us. Don't use some crappy image you grabbed off the web and hope it turns out.

Not at this time. Our engraving equipment is limited to small jewelry items like pendants and lockets.

Locks and Screws

We provide replacement screws for a nominal fee - just order the replacement locking set.

It depends on the item.

Some of our items with a screw use a 1.5mm Allen Key with an M3 (3mm), cup point socket screw, some items use a 6mm long screw and our silver chains use a 3mm long screw.

Our thin collars use a 1.27mm Hex screw and Allen Key.

Our older collars (with a screw hole visible entirely through the collar) used a 2mm screw, and our older stainless steel chains used a 0.05 inch standard screw.

If you have an older item and are not sure of the screw size you need, please contact us.

Travel Concerns

Generally we say yes, but your experience will depend on the airport, the equipment you walk through, and the TSA officer.

Our items are all non-magnetic, so most likely you will only encounter a problem if you are required to walk through an imaging machine and the TSA officer flags you for inspection. In this case, you may be subject to additional screening.

Therefore, if you prefer not to take off your item when traveling, we strongly recommend bringing your Allen key just in case you need to remove your item.

Also, remember to bring an additional screw, or two, just in case you lose one in the process.

Wear and Comfort

Although our collars are considered a Permanent or Formal Style collar, they are not permanent jewelry or permanent locking.

Our collars, cuffs, and anklets have either a hex-screw lock, combination lock, or padlock and come with a key. They can be opened at anytime by whomever has the key or combination, so are not considered permanent.

While they are extremely durable and strong and cannot be forced or broken open, for safety reasons they can be opened in other ways in case of emergency.

Our titanium and stainless steel collars are durable and resistant to corrosion, so prolonged exposure to moisture is fine, including swimming, bathing, and any other water-based activity.

However, our stainless steel products should not have prolonged exposure to saltwater environments (especially warm) as they could potentially stain, especially in the cracks and crevices. While occasional exposure is fine, swimming in salt water is not recommended while wearing a stainless steel collar, cuff, or anklet.

Titanium collars, cuffs, and anklets are durable in any prolonged wet environment.

If you do wear your Eternity collar, cuff, or anklet in the water, we suggest taking additional care to clean and dry the item thoroughly when done. When cleaning, never use harsh chemicals or cleaners as these could damage the surface and reduce the durability in wet conditions.

Yes, all of our collars, cuffs, and anklets are safe to wear in a tanning bed if you don't mind the tan lines. If you are doing a spray-on tan, your item might smudge your tan so speak with your tanning pro about what to do.

We do not recommend this. All of our products will hold up fine in a dry or moist-air sauna, however, we strongly recommend not wearing either in any sauna or steam room as they will heat up to an uncomfortable level and with the amount of metal surface and possibly cause a mild burn. Trying to remove them in a hurry, should you need to, is also problematic.

If you must, at least wrap your collar, cuff, or anklet in a small towel to keep the metal surface away from your skin and keep a spare key nearby (but outside of the heat).
